The Maratika Health Care Center opened in 2014. Now the very poor local population of this remote region of the Himalayas has access to care.

The dispensary offers traditional Tibetan medicine as well as Western medicine according to the needs of the patients. Some patients walk more than four hours to reach this consultation, the closest in the region.
