The Himalayan region
Ladakh, a poor, remote region of India in the Himalayan mountains, still lives in precarious rural times. Our projects support these people who want to move forward by preserving their traditions and respecting the environment that allows them to live.
Nepal is listed by the United Nations as one of the poorest countries in the world. Vulnerable in its development and its economy, it deserves our attention, especially after the devastating earthquake in 2015 from which it is still struggling to recover.
Support in the areas of food, education, and health are essential.
"In the footsteps of ALH in the Himalayas"
The volunteers of the Lungta Humanitarian Association take you to discover the Himalayan region: the grandiose landscapes, the way of life, the traditions, the fauna, the typical architecture ... discovered during field trips in northern India (Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh), Nepal, Tibet, on the road…
ALH's projects are part of the education, health and food procurement axes for the poorest populations in this region.
